Acting for Comedians Showcase

Led by Comedy Works Pro Janae Burris (Just For Laughs New Faces, CalArts Theater BFA), Acting for Comedians uses theatrical tools to sharpen stage presence, audience connection, improvisation, and confidence — so that well written material can land harder, softer, dirtier, sweeter, or more dangerous depending on your intention.

After weeks of training with comedy pro Janae Burris, these fresh faces are ready to make the big leap from classroom to stage. Think of it as their “Ha” School Graduation — caps, gowns, and diplomas replaced with punchlines, callbacks, and big laughs. Come celebrate the next generation of comedians as they show off everything they’ve learned (and probably a few things they didn’t).
