Job Description
If you enjoy being around live comedy and the entertainment business, this position was made for you! Comedy Works is one of the top comedy clubs in the nation, and in this role, you'll help set that standard. Hosts/Ushers are flexible and help in many aspects of the night such as seating guests, running food, monitoring the showroom, and ensuring a clean and safe showroom for guests, comedians, and staff alike. Hosts/Ushers are able to work in extremely fast paced environments and continuously turn their focus to the most important task at hand.
**Must be at least 21 years old**
Key Responsibilities:
- Help create a relaxed entertainment environment for both comics and guests
- Ensure guest entry into the building is timely and precise
- Facilitate a quiet, clean showroom for guests, comics, and employees
- Market future shows through positive guest interaction
- Share knowledge about show schedules and policies to increase guest return rate
- Other duties as assigned
Abilities:
- Provide the same excellent guest service time and time again
- Problem solving
- Direct and work with large crowds of people
- Work effectively as a team
- Be flexible and fast within the workplace
