#IMOMSOHARD: The Flashback Tour
Comedy Works Entertainment presents #IMOMSOHARD: The Flashback Tour LIVE at the Paramount Theatre! #IMOMSOHARD began as a popular web series by real-life best friends, comedians, and moms Kristin Hensley and Jen Smedley. One night, over a glass of wine and many tears of frustration, these two friends decided to tell a different kind of story. With a camera, two husbands, a babysitter, and bottomless mimosas, Kristin and Jen decided to speak openly about their fears and failures and to prove that the only way to survive motherhood is through laughter and friendship. The video was a smash hit, sparking an online community of two million of the most engaged followers – confirmation that moms and women everywhere need to laugh and be heard. Kristin and Jen went on to create weekly videos about all things womanhood and motherhood: hemorrhoids, nipple hair, sex after marriage, mom bods, spanks, wedding dresses, and swimsuits. (Yes, they wore them on camera.) The videos have received nearly 300 million views worldwide in just five years, which has led to over 3 million followers, four sold-out national tours, branded deals, a podcast, a New York Times bestseller, and a TV deal. They’re now on their fifth original nation-wide tour playing to thousands of fans every night. Both women write and produce the #IMSH series with a common goal – maybe we can make you feel better about the job you’re doing, if you see the terrible job we’re doing.

3 Comic Dads and a Baby
A family-friendly, all-ages Father’s Day Comedy Special! Celebrate Father’s Day with big laughs and relatable chaos in 3 Comic Dads and a Baby—a comedy show where parenting meets punchlines. Three stand-up comedians take the stage: Eeland Stribling, deep in the sleepless trenches of babyhood, Geoff Tice, wrangling a wild toddler, and Sunee Dhaliwal, navigating the daily drama of early elementary school. Oh—and the “baby” of the group, Jack Comstock? He doesn’t have kids at all. He’s just here for the emotional support (and to remind the rest what freedom looked like). Together, they’ll share stories about fatherhood, family life, and what it means to be a dad in the modern world—plus the parts of themselves they’re trying not to lose in the chaos. It’s honest, hilarious, and unexpectedly heartwarming—all packed into a family-friendly show that’s perfect for parents, partners, and anyone who was raised (or is being raised) by a half-confused, full-time funny dad.

Acting for Comedians
A 6-Week Performance Lab with Live Showcase TO PURCHASE THE WHOLE 6 WEEK COURSE - purchase ONE $395 "ticket" on the November 16th date FOR THE ENTIRE SIX WEEK COURSE, (you only purchase once for all six weeks). The course schedule is as follows: Monday's at COMEDY WORKS DOWNTOWN Monday, October 5 | 6-9pm Monday, October 19 | 6-9pm Monday, October 26 | 6-9pm Monday, November 2 | 6-9pm Monday, November 9 | 6-9pm Monday, November 16 | 6-9pm FINAL CLASS You've got jokes. This class is about how you perform those jokes to their fullest potential — and what happens when being funny gets you into an audition room. Many comics have never taken an acting class but then their natural ability to make people laugh lands them an audition… and nobody taught them how to make acting choices. This lab fills that gap. Led by Comedy Works Pro Janae Burris (Just For Laughs New Faces, CalArts Theater BFA), Acting for Comedians uses theatrical tools to sharpen stage presence, audience connection, improvisation, and confidence — so that well written material can land harder, softer, dirtier, sweeter, or more dangerous depending on your intention. You'll also work audition techniques for when comics act: how to prepare, how to make clear choices, and how to bring your comedy instincts into a scene without freezing up. Over six weeks you'll work on: Stage presence, “act outs” and physical storytelling Audience engagement and reading the room Improvisation as a performance muscle (not a crutch) Confidence under pressure Changing tone and intention to deliver the same bit in multiple ways Playfulness on stage — risk, surprise, and staying alive in the moment Audition technique and making acting choices (built for comics new to acting) Each class mixes exercises, rehearsal, and on-mic coaching using your existing material. You'll leave with sharper instincts, a set that feels more alive, and tools for the audition room — not just the club. The course culminates in a live showcase at Comedy Works on November 21st Who it's for: Comics who already perform stand-up and want to level up how they act their comedy — on stage and in auditions — not beginners writing their first jokes. Instructor: Janae Burris brings a theatrical edge from CalArts training plus years as a Comedy Works Pro, festival comic, and actor (Denver Center, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Aurora Fox, and more
